The 550 S boasts a winning combination of 40stroke, liquid-cooled H1 EFI 545cc engine and Duramatic™ automatic transmission, helping you get out there with the power and performance you've come to expect from Arctic Cat®. And when there's a nasty trail ahead, change direction on the fly with a new electronic power steering system. Plus, its reliable Ride-In suspension gives you a lower suspension profile with 11" of ground clearance for any terrain that comes your way. And the sporty body styling of the 500 S shows any other riders out there that you're ready for anything.

  • Power Steering - This technology means business, even at idle. An electronic power steering (EPS) system designed specifically for Arctic Cat, it reduces torque necessary to steer your ATV while changing directions or navigating rough terrain. Its electronic unit provides assistance to the steering column trough a sealed, brushless electric motor, which measures steering input force verses tire resistance and vehicle speed. Four different inputs (MPH, RPH, handlebars and wheels) and 36 foot-pounds of torque - 3x the competition.
  • Ride-In Suspension - Fully independent, race-inspired suspension features a lower suspension profile and a lower seat design, resulting in a lower center of gravity yet maintaining 11" of ground clearance. That means more confidence hammering through tight corners on the trail, as well as clearing big, nasty obstacles off the trail.
  • 550 H1 EFI Engine - This 545cc, liquid-cooled EFI features a single overhead cam and a single cylinder. The "H" stands for its hemispherical-shaped heads, delivering more efficient combustion resulting in better performance. Electronic fuel injection ensures easy starts and consistent performance in various climates or altitudes. This 4-stroke is efficient, powerful and ready to go.
  • Duramatic™ Automatic Transmission - Durable, Efficient automatic CVT is easy to operate, and transfers maximum horsepower and torque to the driveshaft. It also features a Hi/Low shift range, spike load dampener and a long-life, constant tension belt.
  • Digital Gauge - Digital speedometer readings with integrated warning system includes a clock, dual tripmeter, hour meter and fuel gauge. This helpful gauge also has a gear indicator and a 4WD/differential lock indicator.
  • Electric 2WD/4WD and Front Differential Lock - When the going g ets tough, shift from 2-wheel drive to 4-wheel drive on the fly with just a push of a button. For even more traction, activate the front differential lock by moving the switch to the left.
